On The Bookshelf
Well, not that I finished the previously stated (below) books…but I have some different ones in the mix at the moment.
Crazy Love by Francis Chan
25-Day Financial Makeover by Francine Huff
The House at Sugar Beach by Helene Cooper
I don’t really use this blog for any specific purpose, though I may someday. I thought I would add a page that included the books I’m currently “reading”. This means, they are within reach and have been cracked open (at least once).
I was going to try to add a post to this page, but I don’t have the patience to figure that out tonight! Maybe that is why I’m in bed before 9:00pm tonight (though obviously not sleeping).
Here it is in no particular order…
Tonight’s books on the night stand:
Mad Church Disease by Anne Johnson (A book about avoiding the ‘burnout epidemic’, re-evaluating all areas of health and setting and re-setting goals, priorities. It’s a ‘work-out’.)
Starbucked by Taylor Clark (A witty book that gives some background, history and comedy to the “coffee house” culture in America.)
A Beautiful Offering by Angela Thomas (A book that goes through the beatitudes, focusing on the ‘when you are’s’…)
The Blue Sweater by Jacqueline Novogratz (A memoir of a women who gave her life to understand poverty and found powerful ways to empower the poor and counteract the cycle…I am just starting this one, but hear it’s a great book)
Pour Your Heart Into It by Howard Schultz (The ’story’ behind Starbucks)
