2011 Susan G. Komen 3-Day For The Cure

We’re walking again in 2011!  Thank you to all of you who supported my walk this past year!  As I began the planning and fundraising last year, I was hoping to walk in honor of my dear friend Jenn who was in the midst of her breast cancer battle and in honor of other dear friends (Amy, Pam, Judy, Rhonda and others) who have fought cancer as well!

On October 16th 2010, Jenn went home to be with the Lord.  She fought a hard battle of a very aggressive form of breast cancer (Triple Negative).  As I walked this journey with her and learned more about the research, I was so thankful for all of the support and funding that has come from organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

About 2 1/2 weeks after Jenn passed away, we walked the Dallas 3-Day in her memory.  Next November we will be walking again.  This time my friend Pam (mentioned above) and her daughter Sarah will be joining Robin, Christy and I in the walk! Oh and how can I forget the Angels for the Cure that are some of the most amazing training/fundraising buddies and friends!  Could not have done it this past November without them!

I would like to ask you to consider giving to the walk this year. 

Thank you for your friendship and support!  As I head into this New Years Eve, I miss my friend dearly, but am thankful she is no longer suffering!
